Exploring the new world

Hello again! Well I’m back for another post and today I will be talking about the New World and what we learned about it. We learned about the major expeditions from Europe to North America in the 14 and 15 hundreds. Then we were each assigned an expedition that we had to make into a comic, which was a lot of fun. To help us in developing a good comic, we read a lot of different types comics, which was also a lot of fun, then completed a comparison sheet.

I found that the first group of comics, which were more historical in nature, fit my expedition the best because there wasn’t enough action to use something like a hero or anti-hero style. We had to incorporate the main motivation of our characters within the comic. The main motivations for the explorations were the same then as they are today; money, fame and other riches. Claiming land for their country and expanding their empire also made the list. We used our comic books to make a presentation to the Queen (Ms. Willemse), to try to convince her to fund our next expedition. Here is the video of me trying to do that (it is pretty funny).

OK, now time for the comic. It follows a young man, Robert, on an expedition to the New World with world renowned explorer, Christopher Columbus.https://expl.ai/BHVXKGK

thank you for taking the time to read my post. More soon so bye ’till then.
