Our latest math project gives us the opportunity to build solar powered structures and learn about Trigonometry in the process. Our job was to calculate the ideal angle at a certain location and date that would absorb the most sunlight. I realized something important during this project, and that’s that understanding math doesn’t require you to reinvent the wheel, it just requires you to do the steps and understanding will come naturally. This way of looking at it took me from struggling to being able to do the math with ease, and I will remember this for my future projects.
