Hello everyone today we’re becoming a Karen, I’m leaving a review. Today I’ll be reviewing one of my all time favourite shows, gossip girl! This is a show about the wealthy children of Manhattans socialites, these kids have the world wrapped around their little finger and they get away with anything. They pull off ridiculous schemes and regularly get in gigantic fights that always end up finishing fine. They destroy peoples lives in ridiculous ways and they do it with style. This is one of my favourite shows so let’s talk about it.

First I’m going to discuss the characters and setting. The characters in my opinion are very good. They are all decent actors and have multiple levels of depth. They are pretty complex and have a variety of emotions and interesting backstories. I also really enjoy the the setting of the show. Downtown Manhattan is a really beautiful set and the buildings are use are so pretty. They shoot scenes in incredible apartment buildings, they hold parties and stunning old hotels, and they eat their meals on the steps of the Met. Everything about their life is glamorous, and it’s just really cool to get an insight on how the 1% would live.

Next I’m going to discuss the plot. The plot is actually pretty good in this show. It’s a little bit repetitive at times which can get slightly boring but mostly enjoyable. It includes a lot of romance which some people don’t necessarily enjoy. I do find that the plot sometimes has pretty good twists, but for the most part I can guess what’s going to happen before it has happened. The plot is not particularly complex but it is nice and light and is very enjoyable to watch because you don’t really have to think about it much.

Overall I really like the show and I would read it 4 1/2 stars out of five. I’d say that a lot of people would disagree with me and I understand why but I still like the show. The characters are fun the setting is so cool and the plot is mostly pretty good. It may not be a critically acclaimed award-winning show but it’s very fun to watch, and a good way to spend an afternoon.
