Credit and stealing (SBC)

This blog post is all about credit. You shouldn’t steal pictures to begin with, but if you do, please don’t pretend the image is yours. I think that sometimes when people aren’t familiar with technology or the internet, they don’t really know how to give proper credit. Here’s how to: First, if you are taking an image, think about other images that you might have, so that you don’t even have to give credit, if you use your own images everything would be much easier. However, most people don’t have certain images that they’re looking for, so if you don’t then that’s when you take others. The most important thing to not do, is leave your image without a link or a comment saying that the image isn’t yours. Some people don’t really know where the image came from, and in that case, you should put a little comment just simply saying that this image doesn’t belong to you, and that you don’t know whose it is. The best case scenario is if you do know where it came from. If this is the case you could put a name or a link to where you found it, and also say that all credit goes to…. , images are really particular things, and if you steal the wrong image you could be called out for it or get copyrighted. Try your best to avoid all the bad things that could happen and make sure to always give credit. The other thing is stealing, on the internet there is a fine line between borrowing and stealing. Borrowing is when you give credit, stealing is when you take an image and pretend it’s your own. You may not realize you’re pretending, you have to know that people seeing that image wherever you put it, will naturally assume it’s yours. That a why you always give credit and don’t steal images. Getting copyrighted is a hassle and it’s so much easier to follow the simple steps to success.
