Our final PGP project of the year is to make a artifact that displays our understanding of the core ideas of James Clears, Atomic Habits.

I liked the open ended style of this project and it gave me a lot of freedom as to what I would do. I mostly wanted to focus on a very specific part of the book so this made it really easy.

I think that PGP this year has been very useful for me, more so than the years prior. Even though I did not grasp it at first, the ideas in Atomic Habits have really come through to help me in one of the toughest school years I’ve been through. I’ve always struggled with setting habits for myself to keep my work in check and very frequently ended up with massive pile ups of work from poor management.

Even when I started to follow the steps outlined in the book it was hard at many points to keep with it and I frequently fell off of my habits.

The hardest part of the process for me was the very first part, setting my habits required a lot of effort and it was very hard to pull off.

Gradually I improved and this graphic is something I made to represent my journey. The resolution is a bit low so You’ll need to open it in a separate tab.

This is a brief summary of the first habit law “Make it Obvious”. I used a few examples to convey my use of it, how I adapted and how I plan to use it in the future.

If you want to know more about PGP this year heres a link to my PGP post where I spend more time talking about it.
