What Makes a Quality Comment?

Commenting is a huge part of getting feedback on posts and revising. Personally I’m all for comments but you need to know the difference between a bad comment and a fantastic one. That’s were my rules come in…

1. Be Specific

When giving someone feedback you need to specify were and why they need to do so.

2. Be Harsh

Being harsh is a fantastic way to get down to the nitty gritty and let the writer know what he excelled at and what he needs to work on.

3. Be Helpful

When commenting try to have helpful feedback.

4. Keep it Clean

Swearing isn’t a intelligent way to explain yourself, keep it clean.
