It’s either Episode VII or VIII, I’ve lost count

Star Wars has always brought the biggest smile onto my face and also the biggest wad of cash out of my pocket, fine, my parent’s pocket. Weather I was spending it on the movies, lightsaber or one of the many LEGO sets that eventually got mixed together. And when Star Wars was involved I was always smiling, until now. As soon as Willemse told us we were doing a Star Wars specific project I was super excited. But then she added it was going to be a “Blue Sky” project. And to me Blue Sky is a 2 possibly 3 month long project. But then she said it would only take about 2 weeks. So I thought it wouldn’t be bad, but then it did end up taking as long as I had originally thought. And most of that wasn’t even the making of the project itself, oh no, there was a whole lot of critiquing and rearranging and even more planning and organising. The actual project only took about a week.

Anyways, let’s get going on what I actually did instead of me complaining even after it’s done.

The meaning of a Blue Sky project is pick question about anything in the world or maybe not on THIS world, in other words, pick a question and try to find a ways to answer it. I know this project was Blue Sky, there was one rule, it has to be Star Wars related. Still a lot of questions to be answered, like, who shot first? It took me a few days to get anywhere near what question I ended up with. I started out with the general idea of Han Solo since he’s my favourite character, duh, he’s just the best. And then I got to thinking about the Millennium Falcon, then I finally got to my main topic, hyperspace. Will it be possible in the next ten years and what would it take to travel in hyperspace? The answer is no, it’ll take around 50 years to harness the amount of dark matter we need for a warp bubble to travel through hyperspace. And it would take a whole lot of engineering mistakes, tons and tons of money and a few kilograms of dark matter to create a perfectly symmetrical warp bubble.

I’m not quite sure how to show myself as I was working on my project since I just did a video. Unless you want to see me sitting on the couch on my iPad reading a whole lot or Nasa’s idea of what a warp bubble/spaceship would look like.

I also had to find a way to get the scene from Star Wars of Han Solo and Chewie activating to light speed, which took a whole lot of downloading and editing. This was one of the most important things to have in my video since it’s entirely based off of it and it also opens up my project. (After an intro of course) But getting to this awesome finshed product took a whole lot of work, critique and researching info on stuff I thought I had influence on hyperspace, such as worm holes.
