✨Destinating Imagination Reflection✨

Welcome back, its been a while but that’s not going to stop me from writing this post! So make sure to keep reading to learn about my DI adventure, and how it went.

In our Maker class for the past 3 or so months we have been working together to learn about our talents and not so much talents during a project called DI in this project we all go assigned groups of 5-6 people. Once we had our groups (Zoe, Noah, Kaia, Jude) we then got assigned categories, these categories would define what we were going to be working on for the next 3-4 months, Our group got assigned the fine arts category, this category was called “Game On!”

For this category ee had to reenact a game and we had to have a beginning, then a climax/middle, then finish it off smoothly. The game we chose was The Sims Mobile, we decided to get right into our project so we started by all downloading The Sims Mobile on our iPads and playing whilst taking notes for the rest of our first maker class we had gotten, one class turned into three, then four, and so on. Each of the starting classes the teachers gave us leading up to the tournament we all played The Sims whilst brain storming ideas for our set, costumes, props and script. During the start of February we started to bring things in like pieces of our set, small props, and a couple costume items. Shortly after we got all those things we finished our screening and started to practice with each other.

March 9th came quickly and we stayed at the school from 8:00-5:00 attended performances and participated in one of our own, we also took part in an instant challenge, slowly approaching 4:00 ish we celebrated the award ceremony where we got to see which groups placed and which did not (although if you paced or not you still moved to provincials.) We went through almost all the categories then they called fine arts, we waited to hear our names for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, none of which was our groups name. We were all disappointed but we got up after with a positive attitude, we were 3 points away from coming 3rd. We know exactly what we can do to fix whatever wasn’t looking good in our performance and we are putting it all back together and moving towards the provincials date with great positivity!

Thank you fo reading! See you soon!
