Lil Chemist

Just recently in scimatics, we finished our latest chemistry project. The main idea for our project was to present about a certain topic, my group of three included Adlih ands Alivia and we decided that our project would answer the question of: how to double replacement reactions help doctors with diagnostics. In particular, how doctors use barium sulphate and sodium chloride to see soft tissue X-Rays. We created a really cool presentation and you can see our scripts below.

One of my main tasks for this project besides working on the script and keynote was to create an animation of someone drinking the concoction and then being able to see thier soft tissue through an X-Ray. Unfortunately I discovered that I am trash at animation so i settled with a mediocre keynote magic move animation. 🙁

Some curricular competencies I think I improved on during this a project was planning and conducting. When we started the project we designated everyone’s roles for the project. We also worked really hard on our script so we knew 100% that our project/presentation would turn out awesome! Another curricular competency I think I improved on was communicating. Not just with my group about the project but also explaining scientific theories to our audience in a presentation format. Another curricular competency I improved on was applying and innovating. I took the textbook learning before the project and effectively applied it to our script and our overall final project/presentation. The last curricular competency I think I improved on was processing and analyzing data and information, one way I improved on this curricular competency was by taking in as much information on the topic as possible. Wether it be articles, textbook pages, or video’s I felt that I improved drastically on this competency

also here is my project end mind map where I demonstrate some of the things I learned through this project.
