The End? For Now…

With our first quarter of school, and Humanities 12 over, I have mixed feelings. I am very excited to move onto new courses and learn new things, but on the other hand. I really dont want to say goodbye to all of my PLP people I have been with, although I do get to be with them for another quarter at the end of the year. Anyways, I spent the past week working on a rap song that gives a very brief summary of my favorite projects we worked on.

I also rap about what I learned, things I liked, and things I didn’t like. I tried not to focus on the flow of the lyrics that much because I wanted to make the lyrics easy to understand to the untrained ear. Anyways, I hope you enjoy my song! If you want to go back to any of my Shrew-Cast’s to refresh your memory on my learning, I have also linked them below. Also, I have put the song lyrics underneath the SoundCloud link if you are interested.

Lyrics:

I thought it was pretty interesting

How our English teacher thought of everything

From commonlit readings you know, things with meaning

Its seaming to be it was a whole lotta work

But I tried my hardest even with all my quirks

I had to run my grades up, I had to make this work

Even with covid-19 on our asses I couldn’t let that one thing fail my classes

So I focussed hard, I stood up tall, and met my target grade by the end of the fall

Now my favorite things I learned was vocabulary practice

At first it seemed hard, felt like it kind of attacked us

But as I got into it and practiced more

I learned some new words I could use while I explore

I also enjoyed studying for our presentation

Learning about the suffragette’s hunger for legislation

It made me quite sad how women were not the same

So men from all around the world, improve on the blame

Our essay was hard, but with lots of revision, I could

Feel good bout my rainbow wile I watch television

But it would not matter if I didn’t revise and revise

Cause if you do not improve on yourself, what’s the point to life.

Taming of the shrew was a valuable piece of literature

But in my opinion, it was the readings that were pure

Fifty one percent minority talked about inequality

Addressed more important issues than who marry somebody

Addressed more important issues than who marry somebody

I thought it was pretty interesting

How our English teacher thought of everything

From commonlit readings you know, things with meaning

Its seaming to be it was a whole lotta work

But I tried my hardest even with all my quirks

I had to run my grades up, I had to make this work

Even with covid-19 on our asses I couldn’t let that one thing fail my classes

So I focussed hard, I stood up tall, and met my target grade by the end of the fall
