We’ve been working on a project for scimathics all about the ideal angles for solar panels and how to use trigonometry to find them. I worked with Morgan and we chose to create a solar-powered outdoor movie theatre in Phoenix, Arizona. The angle of the sun was 78°, and we calculated the best angle using trigonometry to form a triangle. We created a model out of cardboard, hot glue, and paint and it has a bottom deck for cars to watch and an upper deck for people without cars. Here are a mind map and video about our project.
