Live Loops

In maker recently, we have been learning how to create music in Garageband. The first thing that we did was to learn about a feature called Live Loops. This feature is used to create diverse and complicated layered sounds easily and quickly. The first step to create my song was to select a set of instruments.

I chose the live loops set called “chill”, and then started to play around with the tracks. My screen was full of little buttons that each played a different track. When they were layered over each other, it added a really cool effect to the music. It looks like this.

I then swiped my finger over the individual recordings, causing them to play on the beat.

I decided to edit some of my recordings, such as one of the keyboard ones. I selected the cell and then clicked edit.

Then, I decided to split part of it and move the pieces around until it looked like this. This made the cell sound completely different than it originally was.

Afterwards, I decided I was ready to record. First, I added a few more instruments, such as vocals and harps so I my music was more personalized. Then, I clicked record and played around with my loops until I decided I was content with them.

After recording, I was able to see all of the sounds that I had recorded all in a linear line.

The last step was to export it and post it here. Here is in my final song, I hope you enjoy!
