Hello blog readers,

Imagine a world where you could forgot your painful and sad memories. Well in the book More Happy Than Not it’s possible with the Leteo procedure. Our latest project in humanities has been a fun one. We were given a choice of multiple books that we could read and I picked More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera. This book was a popular one as 5 other of my classmates read it as well. To read all about the book read my other post called when will Arron become More Happy Than Not?

For this project we were supposed to make a trailer of our book. To start of we decided to split our work into categories. Logan and Adlih wrote the script. Luca made the music. Isabelle, Kailey, and I worked on getting down all the scenes we wanted to do and planning the filming schedule.

We decided the best thing to do was dedicate a whole day to filming so we all got together one Saturday to film. Our plan was to meet at the school at 12 and film all day. Obviously somebody forget so we had to drive to his house to pick him up. Btw it was luca. That day we did a lot of filming, we filmed at my moms office, the park, a comic book store, and downtown. After many houses of filming my mom took us all to chipotle for tasty burritos. That night I was so happy with everything we had filmed but we didn’t end up using most of it. Once we got all our footage together we realized we still need more scenes. We decided to go to Adlih’s house to film some night scenes on a “rooftop” aka her balcony.

Here our some photos of the adventures in filming.

In plp we do a lot of revisions. We believe that revision is a key step in learning and getting a growth mindset.

Here is our first draft

Here is our final draft

I’m so proud of the work we as a group produced for this project. Im also proud of the things I was able to do for this project. I think our group had the most advantages because of our large number of members. For example if Luca wasn’t in the group we wouldn’t have the most perfect handwritten song, if I wasn’t in the group we wouldn’t have the doctors office.

After all this work our teacher printed our QR codes and we put them on some copies of the book that we will be going into the library. In the end I’m actually very happy with the outcome but those videos will be in the library forever and will haunt us.
