Halloween has always been a holiday that I look forward too. I love how you have this one night of the year to break most rules that parents make. Like dress normally, don’t take candy from strangers, don’t eat too much candy or don’t scare people. My favourite part of Halloween is costumes. My first Halloween that I got to pick my Halloween costume I wanted to be a fairy-mermaid-princess ( I was three years old). I always like to plan out my costume in September but of course I never actually make my costume until the night of.😬 My favourite kind of costumes are group costumes. This year me and my friends are going as different decades ( 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s) and we are dressing like people dressed in that decade. In previous years I have been Winnie the Pooh characters, characters from “Miss Perigrines’s Home for Peculiar Children”, and evil dolls.

Another aspect of Halloween I love is being scared. I love the feeling of going through a haunted house and not knowing when something is going to jump out at you. My neighbourhood goes all out for Halloween. There are like 6 haunted houses that people make in my trick or treating loop. I think there are so many haunted house because of the amount of kids who trick or treat around my house. Last year we got 400 kids who came to our house.

Those are the things I love about Halloween! 🎃
