Can I Do Politics?

Hello world,

I just finished doing a project on politics and if you want to hear about it then please keep reading. In this project I was put into a group of 5 people-Annie, Ethan, Randy, Dries, and me of course-to create our own, new political party and hopefully by the end a political party video. For a couple weeks we have been learning about current politics specifically Canadian politics, and figuring out our parties main values, promises, policies that make our political party unique and intriguing.

The Canadian government is a constitutional monarchy meaning the Queen or King is head of our state and guided by our constitution. Canada is also a democracy meaning all the citizens in Canada are allowed to vote for someone to represent their opinions and beliefs, that is the shortest way to put it.  https://www.craft.do/s/DJnafptS5eJhIl

If you would like to read, here are the principals of democracy.

There are other ways for our government to run and I did a little research on another way for the election to work if you would like to see my notes and the video here they are.

You can also go check out a recent post I did about the current Canadian Government.

As I mentioned before the end goal of this project was to create a political party campaign video now to do that we had to do research on all the current parties and find what we liked about their campaign so we could make our own that we were proud of.

Current Parties

As a group we watched some parties campaign videos and took notes on what we noticed throughout it all. We looked at what was appealing in a video, and how to make it introduce us as a political party. https://www.craft.do/s/OFdSUEdH2S8a00 https://www.craft.do/s/vnFiowm7krNwM4

If you would like to see my parties statement of intent go to my last blog post.

We did finally create a video but unfortunately it wasn’t exactly what we planned for it to look like partly because we had some issues with time management and also because we misjudged the tools that we needed to make our vision come to life. Even though the end product wasn’t perfect or what we thought it was going to be I am still proud of what we created in the short amount of time we had.

Thank you for reading my blog post I hope you enjoyed it, have a wonderful day and let me know what you think of my group’s political party.
