How can I be my most effective self?

Introduction:

I believe this project has helped me grows as a person in many different. This project was all about the Seven Habits. The Seven habits are meant to improve your way of life and help you develop into a better more full person. Moreover, before the Seven Habits, I had the idea of what the seven habits were but, didn’t know how to describe them or how to incorporate them into my life. Overall, the Seven Habits I will most defiantly strive to achieve them each day.

Set-Up Assessment Choice Board Activity:

The The Set-Up choice board was one of the first activities we had to do relating to introducing to the habits. The Set-up relating to principles and paradigms. This helped us get into the mindset of thinking about how I can be the best version of myself. I represented this through the drawing above. Each of the objects in the art represents the things I value in my life. For example, the hammer represents my value for hard work and the flower represents how I deeply value friendship in my life. One thing I wished I did better on this part of the project is make a more interesting and meaningful drawing to the project. This would of added to the objects and make it relate more to my values. However, I think I did a wonderful job at shading all my object and explaining in detail what each object meant. Overall, this part of the project help me begin to understand what The Seven Habits means.

Personal Mission Statement Table:

My Personal Mission Statement was all about finding my life motto and who represents that in my life. For this part of the project we had to make a table with all the people that we look up to and in the idle should be a quote made by yourself that summarizes the motto you live by. For this project I think I did very well on the visual aspecting and editing all the people I look up to in my life. However, I feel as if the motto I created doesn’t fully represent how I live my life. Overall, this project helped me understand myself and how my goals relate to the people in my life.

Private Victory Assignment:

For this part of the project we had to represent the habits, be proactive, the end in mind and put first things first. I showed these different habits with the story, The story of Sam the Man with glass hands. This story showcased sam as he struggled to find the perfect job for his glass hands. For this part of the project, I feel as if I could of improved on making the story have a more obvious message. However, I think I did well at making a interesting and engaging plot. Overall, this part of the project helped me really dig deeply into the Private Victory habits.

Public Victory Assessment:

The Public Victory was all about representing listening to others, thinking about the success of both yourself and the people around you and working with others. These habits more specifically are called Seek first to understand, than to be understood, think win-win and Synergize. I showed these habits through a GarageBand song, as shown before

. I believe that for this project I did really well on creating a interesting sound and explaining in detail how this relates to the seven habits. However, I could of improved upon making the soundtrack more original due to me relying on a video tutorial to make my video. Overall, this part of project taught me how to more better interact with others in my life.

Renewal Assessment:

For the renewal assessment I decided to mainly have fun with it. This is due to me feeling exhausted with all the work and just wanting to create something that would make me happy. For this assessment I had to represent the habit Sharpen the Saw. For this habit I created a little tin foil man that represents mainly the mind aspect of this habit. If I were to do this project again I would make sure to make my sculpture fit the requirements better. Overall, this part of the project helped me better understand how I can apply the habits in my life.

Final Products:

The final products helped me have better understanding of how I can represent multiple habits with one object. I had to plan how to represent the categories of communication, thinking and personal and social. In these categories I had to show which habits best related to them . I had to show them in three ways, visual, audio and kinaesthetic.

For the visual I created a drawing of all my friend and family. I then added these drawing to a pink ear to representing listening. For this part of the project I did well on making a visually appealing drawing. However,  I think I could of improved upon adding more friends and family into my ear to show just how many people has impacted my life.

For the audio, I created a GarageBand song with a little snippet of my base guitar at the end. This audio represents that habits, Being Proactive and Synergize. If I were going to this song again I would make it so their would be more interments and an actual plan for how I was going to create this song. However, I think I did really good on creating a unique song.

For the kinaesthetic I created a brain sculpture out of cardboard and paper mache. This is suppose to represents habits, Sharpen the Saw, Begin with the end in mind and Put first things first. If I were going to do this brain again I would make sure to have more of a set plan and start the creation earlier than I did. However, I think I made a really good and creative idea. Additionally, I had a lot of fun with this kinaesthetic

Conclusion:

Overall, this project was honestly exhausting however, I’m really happy of how creative this project was. This project has lasted a very long time and even though it has been it blast, it also had been a lot of hard work. However, I have now learned what action I need to take to become a effective student. Overall, I will continue using the skills I have learned in this project.
