Parkgate Community Centre

Parkgate Community Centre launching a new program called “Social Success through Soapbox”. This program will be aimed at social engagement success for Pre-teens. These preteens will be building Soapbox Cars and participating in a Soapbox Derby at the end of the school year (June).

Firstly, we specifically are looking for a few students who have carpentry skills that would be sufficient for operating wood shop equipment. Secondly, we are looking for individuals to support the social engagement aspect; with programs such as homework support, event coordination, crafts, etc… These students should demonstrate maturity, good listening skills, and leadership abilities.

This is a great work experience opportunity… if you are interested in this new program, please see Ms. Parmar ASAP. The program will start end of Nov.
