News Day in BC (want to be a reporter?)

News Day in BC is back for the fourth year!  CBC Vancouver is partnering with Vancouver Sun again to offer an exciting opportunity for students to learn and experience the world of journalism and broadcasting. An exciting new development this year is that all 30 finalists will receive a $1000 scholarship for post secondary studies, courtesy of Sylvan Learning.

To participate, you should first sign up for a journalism workshop held at the CBC Vancouver Broadcast Centre in downtown Vancouver on January 21st and 22nd, 2012.

After the workshop, you can go back and audition for a spot on this year’s News Day team. This year, Register now at cbc.ca/bc/newsday to be part of News Day in BC.

Last year two Seycove students got selected out of 150,  who went for auditioning from across Metro Vancouver.

If you are interested in this amazing opportunity, please see Ms. Parmar ASAP
