Capilano U Summer Camps!

Would you like to gain leadership skills, get work experience, work with children and youth, and make friends while having fun at the same time? If so, become a Serious Fun camp volunteer. We’re looking for mature teens (must be at least 14 years old) with an interest and aptitude in leadership, computers, filmmaking, science, art and more.

Summer Opportunities for First Nations Students!

Native Youth Program 2017!
The Native Youth Program provides students with an opportunity to research their own and other cultures through the museum collection and online resources and participate in workshops and study trips. They will also learn about the resources at the UBC First Nations House of Learning and the Museum of Anthropology and develop public presentation skills using objects and new media. Participants will share this knowledge with others students and museum visitors through guided tours, presentations, and a final report reflecting on their experience and research.
Candidates must be 15 to 18 years old, enrolled in high school and must have an interest in First Nations heritage.
Term: full-time – start date Monday July 3, 2017 to August 18, 2017 – 7 weeks – 35 hours/week – 9:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday
Salary: $10.85/hour
