Volunteer at Summer Art Exhibit

Call for Volunteers

North Van Arts is looking for volunteers to help run our upcoming exhibition, Ancient Forests. Volunteers will be present at CityScape Community Artspace to help manage the flow of visitors coming to view the exhibition, and to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.

Time Commitment
• The Ancient Forests exhibition runs from July 23rd – September 4th, 2021.
• Shifts are from 9:15am – 1:15pm and 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
• Volunteers are expected to commit to a minimum of one shift per week throughout the exhibition period.
• Volunteers will attend training at North Van Arts to become familiar with the organization and with the exhibition (training date(s) TBD). This training will include an overview of North Van Arts’ COVID-19 policies and procedures.

Detailed Volunteer Information
The Ancient Forests exhibition involves two parts: an artwork display, and an immersive film installation viewed under a domed screen. We are limiting visitors to one bubble of 6 people at a time. Visitors will be invited to book a time slot to view the exhibition online. Drop-ins are welcome if there is space in the exhibition schedule.
We are looking for volunteers to manage the arrival and departure logistics of each group. Volunteers will be placed at the door of the gallery to welcome visitors, as well as within the exhibition to manage visitor flow.

Volunteers will be located at CityScape Community Artspace at 335 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver, BC, V7M 2G3.
