Did you take that photo?

hello, I’m back again and this is a quick post to remind all you to keep your blogs leagal by using copyright free images.

Copyright means that whoever created or took an image owns rights to that image and isn’t for people to take and use.

Yes! Believe it or not but it is breaking the law to use someone else’s image if it is copyrighted. Any stock or google images you find on the internet probably weren’t intended for you to take and use on your own blog.

But don’t worry because there are many different options. You can use things such as Pixabay, Compfight, or even create your own images. However if none of those are options for you, then find images that say copyright free or royalty free that gives free rights to an image for the public to use.

Just remember there are are plenty of options to getting images that are totally legal for you to use. If it’s on your blog, for a school project or anything else for that matter.

Until next time…

  1. Hey Taylor,
Great tips on finding copyright free images. Copyright law wasn’t something that I really considered before this week’s tasks. Did you? What’s your favorite source of copyright free images? I really like the Compfight plugin for my edublogs site. It makes searching and adding images so easy. Keep up the good work for the rest of the challenge.

    1. Hi Mrs. Cremeens
No, I never really considered copyright laws before this challenge either. My favourite source for copyright free images is probably Compfight as well.
