Comments, Week 1+2

Comments are something we all get at one point or another. I think it’s important to remind my audience about the impact comments can have and how they effect people positively and negatively.

(Note: This is technically a part of my grade 9 SBC. Because I’m not obligated to be doing this I’m taking the original challenge and putting a bit of a twist on it. Sorry Ms. Willemse!)

The very idea of a comment is to express and share your thoughts about something or someone. This can be obviously demonstrated positively like here,

“I love your shirt!”

Or online you might find something like this,

“The Peach @Chobani yougurt is really everything!! This wisdom teeth removal healing would be tragic without it.”

But like anything, these positive comments often fade in our minds with the arise of a negative comment,

“You’re wearing that? Okay…”

And again you might find something online like,

“Dear Sainsbury’s. The chicken in my sandwich tastes like it was beaten to death by Hulk Hogan. Was it?”

With what we can gather from these examples is that the negative comments tend to leave a bigger impact than the positive ones. This is what drives people to doing things that change their identity to fit in with the rest of society. It’s important not to fall for something like that because we really don’t need more people turning in to personality-less saltine crackers. (This isn’t to be offensive to the saltines out there, you go great with soup! Don’t change unless you want to either.)

Now to incorporate some motivation in to this post, we turn to the great philosopher, Cardi B,

Now with these ideas in mind why would anyone care to make someone or some WWE wrestler-tendering-chicken brand feel like that? Make sure you are being kind, specific, and helpful with each comment you hurl at a harmless human, or yogurt.

Enjoy your week and be sure to leave a comment on your favourite yogurt down below!
