Over the past few weeks we have been working on a project called “Journey To The Center Of The Earth”.
We have learned mostly about tectonic plates and how they move to create natural disasters, lines of evidence and scientific theory’s, and fossils. One of my favourite things to learn about in school is learning about our earth and the environment. This project was similar to that.
We had three main keystones in this project and they were all individually unique.
Keystone #1:
In our first keystone we learned about fossils. We hot to make our own fossils in the class room and then write about it. We had to answer the following questions:
#1:“How did your fossil evidence and the location of your fossil/other fossils of the same type help support Alfred Wegener’s theory of continental drift?”
#2: “Why do you think it is important to include multiple lines of
evidence when proposing a new scientific theory?”
Keystone #2:
For our second keystone we got to make a GIF! We made our GIF’s about a certain geological processes we have learned about so far. I did mine about how tectonic plates move apart and create mountains.
Keystone #3:
For our third keystone we had to create a recipe video about how to Make a natural disaster. This was by far the most fun keystone to make out of the three.
In conclusion:
Over all, this was a very fun project and I really enjoyed learning about all of these things. I have never created a GIF before so I learned a lot from that. I also really liked making my recipe video.
