Spring SLC…

Its that time a year where kids in the PLP program spend lots of time working on SLC prep when the whole thing only takes 10 minutes. Spring SLC’s… i don’t understand how its spring SLC’s when it is snowing outside. IT’S NOT MEANT TO SNOW IN SPRING ! !

SLC’S are pretty much the same as the last ones we did. We had to show three examples of our work from our Learning Portfolio… aka our blog. One example of work we are proud of, one that shows our learning and finally and example of work that shows our growth mindset.

Proud Of:

Exhibition, exhibition, exhibition… times full of stress, late nights painting in my basement, last minute memorization, and great outcomes. I choose to use the Exhibition as something I am proud of because of how well everyone worked to pull the whole thing together, and my well my group worked. Everyone in the whole class new all the info behind what they were talking about and so much about their topic I general.

My Learning:

The solider journal entry assignment made me realize that I can actually kinda, a tiny bit, write. I really enjoyed this writing assignment because it was really open and there was no wrong answer. I choose to use this project as my example of learning because before this I thought I was incapable of writing something I was actually proud of and thought I did well on.

My Growth Mindset:

Way Back in 2014, little short haired, bad dressed Anatolia made her first ever Explain Everything… And to this day my friends still make fun of me for it. I got to say I have never really partially enjoyed or like this app. Maybe it is because I cant get the hang of how to make an actual good Explain Everything, or maybe its because I just don’t like the app, okay!

Anyways, over the years I believe I have improved quite a bit.. even though I am still not 100% happy with my Explain Everything skills. Today we are going to compare my very first ever Explain Everything, to my most resent Explain Everything. Over those 3 years my explain everything skills have improved quite a bit, they are still not at the point where I am 100% proud of them. I am also still not at the point were I like the app.

Very first ever explain everything… made in grade 9.
