Today in class we completed a math assessment. I also assigned a fractions concept matching activity for completion.
Next class is a presentation: Math Catchers.
Intro to class. Discussion of rules and expectations.
Please work on getting a graphing calculator in the next few weeks.

You will need a separate notebook for vocabulary and concepts.
Please make sure you have a calculator and all necessary supplies.

Today we are continuing to review basic exponent topics.
We completed a review of the exponent laws, worked through the exponent law worksheet. Check your answers!
We also updated our concept books with the exponent laws.
New Topics: Section 2.4 #1-10
Previous HW: Section 2.1 #1-6
All worksheets should be done.

Today we discussed stretching and compressing in the x direction in depth.
Assigned Section 1.3 and then go back and look at 1.2.

Today was a busy day! We explored Polygons and the general characteristics. We made polygon art! We also reviewed how to make parallel lines using construction (will review on Wednesday). We also reviewed the Parallel lines laws (X, Z, Corresponding angles, same side of the transversal add to 180). Homework: Two handouts on finding angles
Also: You will need a notebook and graph paper for this course. Please cover your textbook.
