In this project we have been learning about ourselves. We’ve been discovering things we didn’t know about ourselves and finding out better ways to learn. We talked about where we wanted to be in the future. We were able to answer lots of questions that we barely knew the answer to. Its been a discovery journey, looking deep inside ourselves to find the answers.

On the first couple of days we started with the Big Life Journal (BLJ). We answered questions that were going to be saved in that journal for years. We not only learned about our peers but things we didn’t even know about ourselves. The BLJ is very interesting because I can look back on it when I’m older and see my thought process or how I wanted my life to look later on. Here are three things I made for the big life journal:

Another thing we worked on is the group challenges. My group is jessie, Charlie, Kai, and Silas. The challenges we did consisted of:

The frog box, we had to make a game out of limited materials

The paper tower, we had to make the tallest paper tower with just paper 

The paper drop, we had to make something that will drop slowly and in one spot

The noodle tower, we had to make the tallest tower out of noodles and stickers

I find these challenges very fun and I think they really bring a group together. We have to create something, and we try our best to work together. We want to succeed, these challenges made us think about how to communicate well to get the work done. Its not possible to complete these challenges well without communicating.

Who am I WordPack=

In this project we had to pick out some words that represented us, like:

Soccer player

Daughter

Student

and then we put them in this app called WordPack  and it put them in shape of our choice. We also got to pick the colour on the image. In this project i had fun because the first question the teacher asked was ‘What Are You’ for the words and that got us thinking. What are we?

One project I had that I enjoyed a lot was making a dream board. We had to find pictures online that we wanted to have when we are older.

For jobs, I have a job involved  with being a doctor or detective. In the health section, I am working out a lot and getting outside. The living space section is a cozy place with chairs and tables on the ground and a fish tank. Then lastly the hobbies section has sports, writing, and outdoor activities. When I’m older i really want a good job but health is also very important for me. I want to do things outside like hikes and camping, and make sure I eat healthy. Hopefully I feel that way when I’m older too.

I liked how this project brought us together and taught us how to work better together. At the end of the project to wrap it all up we had a big exhibition. We all wore certain outfits, had speeches, and presented a slide show.  This is what our table was set up as, I’m actually quite pleased with it. I like how the red table cloth went with the black centre piece (I brought the centre piece). I also was happy with the addition of the pumpkin arrangement.
