How it Started, How it’s Going

I am very happy to be able to say that I’m done the how it started, how its going project. This has been a fun project to work on but it has been a long one. The driving question for this project was what can we learn from the past and why does it matter to us today. The conclusion I have come to about the driving question is that there are many historically significant people, places, things, and events that have shaped the society that we live in and surprisingly, a lot of people do not have a tone of knowledge on some of these topics. Our society was shaped by the people, places, things, and events of the past and everything that we are doing now is shaping a future society so we have to be careful if what we do now so that it doesn’t effect us badly in the future.

Curricular Competencies.

Responding to Text:
I think that the best example of this competency is milestone 2 my worldview college. For milestone 2 we had to create a collage that represented our worldview and then write a short paragraph describing how the images we chose connected to our worldview.

Empowered Learner:
The best example of this competency is the virtual museum that we made at the end of the project to put all of our hard work into. The museum was divided up into 8 rooms. Each room represented an aspect of worldview.

Establish Historical Significance:
The best example of this competency is when we had to take Cornell notes. We had to watch videos and stuff like that and then decide what was worth putting in our notes. The Cornell notes definitely helped with taking notes considering we had to take a fair amount.

Here is the link to the museum itself.
