Recently in the school many people have been disappearing. A group of friends meet up with each other and talk about it. Esther then goes to her locker and finds a mysterious note. What does the note say on it? Is she next?
My friends and I created a short thriller film of exactly 2 minutes and 15 seconds. We had to make our own script, story board and characters.
Here is one of the character charts:
Storyboard:
We had to incorporate the different angles of the camera, making sure each shot shows different emotion and related to what is happening in the scene. The lower angled shots were to give it more of a creepier look. Lighting was a major part in out short film. Without the flashing lights I think it wouldn’t have been as scary. Along with that the bathroom lights weren’t super bright which made it eerie.
Next time I think we could have made the voiceover, which is supposed to be the principle better. It didn’t really sound like one, we could have used a different voice changer. If we had more time, instead of the black screen I would have filmed more scenes of the killer going around school, making it suspenseful. I found just the black screen not that interesting.
Overall this was very fun to make and I would love to keep making these to improve on each time. I learned a lot more about videography like how much the different camera angles affect the final product!
