Hello everyone and welcome back to my last ever mPOL!
Below, is a marked up version of my VMV to assess my progress so far.
Q: What successes have you experienced this year in your learning? Provide an example for one of these and the steps you took to ensure this success.
A: Biggest success = movie
- While it was super challenging at some points, it has been my biggest success because of everything that I’ve learned
- I took on a leadership role in the project, helping my teammates and coordinating tasks to ensure we stayed on schedule
- I utilized feedback from my peers and teachers during the production process to improve our filming techniques and overall storytelling
- I dedicated time to research and study film techniques outside of class, which helped my understanding of cinematography
- This experience helped me build my teamwork and communication skills, as I worked closely with others to achieve a common goal
Q: What is an example of a set back, or difficulty, you have experienced this year in your learning? What have you learned from this experience?
A: Set back = movie
- The hardest thing for me was dealing with people who didn’t have the same vision of success as I did
- Managing this is something that was (and still is) hard for me as the movie is still, not done!
- Working on managing my time effectively and setting clear roles for everyone involved has been a key learning experience
- I quickly realized that collaboration needs open communication and the ability to compromise, which I struggled with at the beginning of the project
- This challenge taught me the importance of flexibility and adaptability in a team setting
