Revolutions🙃⚔️

Soo, it’s my second Winter Exabition and I must say it is a lot like last year. The only thing thats different in what we made, so if you want to know what that was, you can read my blog!

DRIVING QUESTION

What Factors Precipitate ‘Revolution’ and How Have They Shaped the Modern World?

The Modern World has been made by everything in history. Everything that happens leads to other things and whatever choices are made determine our future, it could be the president that gets elected or one guard  shooting 5 civilians. If say there were no taxes invented the world would be a lot different now, or if the Declaration of Independance was never signed. We were able to really learn about the whole revolution but I never really about this question. I think for this you have to think about the country’s and about civilization, the government. America is a country that is one of the most know, most immigrants move there and most people speak English. I think the world would be very different.

ANIMAL FARM

“Animal Farm” was the reading we did to start our project off. We had to first read the book, I personally didn’t enjoy reading it. That is probably becuase I like Action books with a bit of Romance in them though. At first when we were reading it I was so confused why they were animals, my mom tried to explain it to me and it kinda of helped. I do think thats one of the reasons I enjoyed it less, is because I didn’t understand.

Were instructed to write down a few questions we had about the book every few chapters. One open question and two closed questions.

What does that mean?

Closed questions are ones that have a firm answer, the question doesn’t have a long open answer. There doesn’t need to be a debate, it’s just a question that can be asked and answered in one question.

Open question are questions that have many answers or that can go on for a long time. There isn’t a set answer so debates can be made. It’s more of an opinion based answered question.

We all had to make an infographic on “Animal Farm” as well. I definitely struggled a lot with making this. Many revisions were made, a lot of time was out into mine, so I was really let down by myself when I received a developing. It’s ok though because that was my first ever infographic so I’ll just have to do better next time.

WHAT IS AN INFOGRAPHIC?

An Infographic is a large page that organizes your work in a nicer manner than say an essay. It adds aesthetic and makes it easier to read. Also who doesn’t love pictures!

THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION 🇺🇸

The American Revolution is what my second infographic was about. We were put into groups for it which made it easier especially when presenting. You can check out my group members blogs as well.

We were instructed to create a Rube Golderberge Machine which is super cool but also very technical and difficult at the same

This is an example of a machine with Tommy because he’s my friend. Tommy will show you his machine so you can get the idea of how it goes. It’s a little different with our machines though. We had to base ours off a whole Revolution. Each section is a different face, there’s Incubation, Moderate, Crisis, and Recovery. We set up the Metaphor Machine so that it was like a staircase which was different from other peoples. This is what our station looked like. We had many aspects on our machine, to represent the Revolution. Along with that we had our infographic hanging on the desk. This infographic we made as a group.

It has most of our ideas mixed together. Most of our ideas were the same but there were some things that were changed.

It wasn’t just that easy though, first we had to draw out a whole blue print. Our group had to design each layer, and once we were approved then we could start building.

We had to also list materials, we were able to find a lot of good craft materials in other classes which saved money. We did have to but wood, and paint though. It took our group longer because we built a staircase, so we were kind of frantic but everything worked out in the end.

THE FINAL PRODUCT!

Though it didn’t show it in the video of our presentation we were lucky to get many successful runs.

As you saw in the video we had to speak before our machine was running just to explain every aspect.

This is the script we used while performing.

Thanks for reading my blog post. I hope you liked seeing my groups machine just as much as we liked making it. If you want to tell your thoughts you can leave a comment!
