Science throughout this year has been very fun and educational. One of the experiments I enjoyed the most was the one where we got Petri dish swabbed the science room table and the LAC room table. We then put all the bacteria in the Petri dish and watched it grow. This was the outcome. We can see the science room has more bacteria but the LAC room is more colourful.
I found the experiment quite fun, BUT it was really disgusting thinking that you touch that everyday. The smell was also putrid I gagged in my mouth.
during science, the teacher assigned us an array of different assignments. Some skills that helped me in science were, my fast typing skills, my creativity, my designing skills, and my communications skills.
another fun assignment was called vaccine media campaign, where we had to right fun and informative posters to persuade people to get vaccinated.
this was one of the posters:
One thing I really liked about it is that I could make my posters as witty as I wanted it to be and one thing I disliked was designing it. The skills I used for this were my designing skills and my reading comprehension skills related to my research.
public health part of the definition is it’s a public health system were people can go to get diagnosed and treated. Imagine you have cancer. If someone were to find the cure, you might not have to deal with the side effects you would get better faster and might not have to suffer through as many treatments. This is some ways science can effect public health.
Curiosities:
one question I have is are we still going to dissect a frog.
