Pollination and spring exhibition

After learning about reproduction, learning about pollination and pollinator and enduring a spring exhibition, I have completed the last science project of the year

So we are approaching the end of the year and at the time of writing this we’re at the last week of school, so this project is mainly about pollinators and how we can protect and preserve them .the driving question for this project is. “How can we support and protect local pollinators to ensure healthy ecosystems in our community?” And this blog post is made to answer that.

Reproduction

One of the first thing we did in this project is we learned about cell reproduction, mainly mitosis and the stages of mitosis. Learning about mitosis and these reproductive methods was interesting because this is something I have never learned about unlike other science project where already knew what was being taught to me. We also learned about meiosis in plants and also pollination.

Spring Exhibition

After learning about pollination. We were put into groups for our spring exhibition. We did some exhibition prep for two weeks, which was not a lot of time for an exhibition. We worked on pamphlets, a petition, food, games, and other stuff related to the exhibition. For this exhibition, we were bats. Bats do pollinate, but not in BC, which made it a challenge for us to show bats for our exhibition. But in the end, we did it anyway, and our pollination exhibition ended up being the best thing we did for the exhibition. So, in conclusion, this is what happened during our spring exhibition.

Reflection

So reflections on this project, I think this project for being the first science project being in a PLP exhibition went very well, people liked our stands, the others teachers liked it and the other grades liked our stand, especially ours. Secondly, the process of preparing the stand was enjoyable, despite the little time we had compared to other exibitions we did. Lastly, for this project, I probably learned the most new stuff out of any science project which was good for me so I wasn’t too bored in class. So in conclusion, this is my reflection on this project
