Hello and welcome back! I can’t believe that this school year is already coming to an end. I want to start this blog post by thanking all of my teachers, family and friends for encouraging and helping me throughout this school year. In this blog post, I’m going to be reflecting on all of my PLP classes, talking about my work habits and to finish off this blog post I’m going to talk about the goals that I’ve set for next year.

Thank you for coming to my presentation of learning. I am an expert in my learning. I am also responsible and accountable for my learning. You can expect me to give an honest evaluation of my progress. We will discuss my strengths and weaknesses. Thank you in advance for listening and for offering feedback that I can use to improve as a learner.

Humanities

Let’s start with humanities. Throughout the year we did multiple projects and here is my favourite that I think I worked hard on and also enjoyed the most. This project was Confederation. I was put into a group with a lot of supportive and fun peoples. It gave me the chance to learn while also having lots of fun.The task was to create a video on the Canada East Confederation. That allowed me to practice speaking fluently and more confidently. Because It was a group project it motivated me to work because I didn’t want to let my group members down by not finishing my tasks.

Scimatics

The project that I enjoyed the most for scimatics was the Metaphor machine. We learnt a lot about the science behind the machine and we also had the chance to create our own. For this project, I worked hard and completed almost everything on time.

Maker

Now I’m going to reflect on maker. The take your kid to work day video was my favourite. I was able to work on my filming and editing while learning about my dad’s business. It was overall a great day. The video came out as I wanted it to, the quality was quite good and I got to spend the day with my dad.

PGP

Let’s finish off with PGP. My favourite project was the goal ladder. I learnt a lot about my strength and weaknesses and set some goals which helped me throughout the year.

My work habits

Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. These are a few of mine I am very creative when I put my mind and focus on tasks. When I’m interested in a topic, I’m very focused. For my weaknesses, I procrastinate a lot and always find a way to get off task. I hand in work late from my procrastination, I don’t like to participate as much as I should because I’m scared to make mistakes and, I do not enjoy public speaking.

Let’s finish this off with my goals for next year. Here are my goals:

-Stop procrastinating

-Stay on task

-Participate as much as I can

-Hand in my work on time

-Don’t be afraid to ask for help

In conclusion, this wasn’t my best year however it was a very good learning experience and now I know what to do to succeed next year.

Thank you,

Julia
