Hello Blog readers, welcome back to the blog train. In this stop we will take a look at the write stuff our most recent project in humanities.
Before this project, I kind of thought writing was just another school thing. You write essays, answer questions, hand it in, and move on. Nothing exciting, just something you have to do.
But The Write Stuff changed that. I learned that writing is actually a way to show who you are. Like, your voice matters more than sounding “smart.” Especially now, with AI being able to write basic stuff, it’s your voice that makes writing feel real. ✍️
We learned about the 6+1 Traits of Writing, and the one that stuck with me the most was voice. It made me stop and think do I actually sound like me when I write? Or am I just copying what I think a “good student” should sound like?
After that, I started writing differently. I used words I’d actually say. I tried to be more honest. It felt way more natural, and actually kind of fun. I didn’t care as much about being perfect I just wanted it to sound real.
We also learned about something called Zettelkasten. Sounds complicated, but it’s actually just a way to keep your thoughts organized. There are quick notes for random ideas, notes for stuff you’ve read, and then deeper notes where you connect everything together. 🧠
I just started using it, but it already helps me keep track of what I’m learning. It makes writing way easier too, because I’m not just staring at a blank page I already have pieces to work with.
At the end of the project, we got to write something using our voice, with no strict rules. That was my favorite part. I stopped overthinking and just wrote how I talk. And I liked the result.

This whole project helped me realize that writing isn’t just for school. It’s actually a cool way to say something that feels real to show people who you are. And I want to keep doing that. ✨
