Don’t take 9th graders to Alberta. They will start to make stupid puns.

An episode of the Octonauts is the best reward for high school students

Did you know that all you need to do to motivate high school students is to bribe them with an episode of Octonauts? It’s a super simple, easy way to get your students to work faster!

Hello everybody and welcome back to my blog. If you’re new here, welcome to pure chaos and some really stupid titles. If you’ve been here before, welcome back! This post won’t be anything different from my other ones, though I seem to have grown more chaotic since last year so enjoy that. A note. As I am writing this my brother is using his tech deck and I want to take it and throw it off the roof.

The driving question for this project was “in what ways have human beings impacte the delicate cycles within oír local ecosystems and how can we lessen our impact?”

Its the most stressful time of the yearrrrrrrr (tPOL 2022)

Hello and welcome or welcome back to my blog. This blog post is for my tPOL. tPOL Stands for transitional presentation of learning. Similar to the mPOL, you have a total of 12 minutes to present. You must reflect on your growth as a learner across all PLP courses, reflect on your work habits, areas for improvement, etc, and more.

as usual, before we start our tPOL, we must state the following.

“Thank you for coming to my presentation of learning. I am the expert on my own learning. I am also responsible and accountable for my own learning. You can expect me to give an honest evaluation of my progress. We will discuss my strengths and opportunities for growth. Thank you in advance for listening and for offering feedback that I can use to improve as a learner.”

As for all projects, there is a driving question. For this project it is:

Why do you feel you are ready to advance to the next grade level?

The scimatics project with the most problematic app ever.

Hello and welcome or welcome back to my blog

For our most recent scimatics project, we had to make a 3d model of an object that was maximized for either surface area or volume. We had to use 3d shapes to make the model using an app called Tinkercad. I’ll tell you about why I dislike the app later though. This was an interesting project, as my procrastination skills improved a little bit from last time, and I actually got things done for once, but I also definitely could have done a few things in more detail.  Read more

Chemistry and coding. The project where I procrastinate way too much.

Hello there inhabitant of earth. If you aren’t one then please why are you here and how did you get this site?

anyways, welcome or welcome back to my blog.

For the past little while on scimatics, we have been working on our most recent project, chemistry coding. Our task was to build a matter game or simulator. We had to show the three states of matter, and be able to change the temperature to make the atoms move differently. Read more

It was nice knowing you. No it wasn’t. Maybe it was??? DI

Hello and welcome or welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to be talking about Destination imagination. A global competition that takes place every year.

Before we start I should probably tell you about what DI is as I said DI is a global competition. There are three competition levels elementary, middle, and secondary. You are given a a challenge which is either technical, scientific, Feinartz, and improv. Some years there Is another type of challenge but this year they decided that it wouldn’t be an option. We were split into groups of up to seven people.
