Thank you in advance for listening and for offering feedback that I can use to improve as a learner.”
Welcome to my TPOL 2025 in this post I will talk about some of my favourite projects and my strengths and struggles.
With my grade 11 year coming to end I have a lot things to reflect on good and bad. I would have to say that this year was amazing im super proud of all of the things that I have overcome and accomplished. This year I feel like I have accomplished all of my goals school and personal. I want to thank my teachers and parents for helping along this journey.
So that being said lets step into my reflection:
My three values from my VMV this year where: agency, engagement, and self regulation. this year I was living by these three values they helped me stay in check and push me to put out the best work I could.
One thing Mr, Hughes mentioned in My Mpol was to work on my engagement that meant having an AirPod out and facing my whole body towards a teacher now that’s one thing that I wrote down after mpol I should’ve wrote down more feedback, but I really wanted to go golfing. I remember when I wrote that down I was so motivated for the rest of the school year to lock in and become the best learner possible I feel like that’s that’s how a lot of my learning goes. I just get really motivated for a really short period of time that’s one thing I need to really work on because I know when I’m in that really motivated state, I can produce something that I’m really really proud of. So for next year, my goal is to stay in that motivated state when I’m at school and when I’m working on my homework and honestly just in life general because I noticed when I’m in that state, I’m super productive. Everything is clean and organized and I’m overall just a happier person.
One of my favorite projects was the Haida Gwaii scrapbook. That trip and project helped me understand real learning like listening, being present, and making meaning from experiences. I wasn’t just writing stuff to hand in. I was connecting with what I was learning. Also the trip was pretty fun.
Why I’m Ready to Move On
This year has been about managing responsibilities, staying accountable, and continuing to grow in areas I used to struggle in. I’m not perfect, but I’ve shown that I’m learning from my experiences and applying those lessons. I’ve created work I’m proud of, I’ve improved how I take feedback, and I’ve taken more control over my learning.
So, to answer the big question: Yes, I believe I am ready to move on to the next grade. I’m more responsible, more reflective, and more capable than I was at the start of this year. And I’m ready to keep growing.
Thank you for listening.
