Having a growth mindset

We have been working on a growth mindset unit for a while now, trying to help us have more of a growth mindset. We have done many iTunes U courses about things like why we need to fail, and remembering if you’re thinking “I can’t do it” add “yet”. Which is the process of making a fixed mindset, a growth mindset. A video that really stuck out to me was “The power of Belief” which really stands by Ms. Maxwell’s favourite quote “whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re probably right.” As if you believe you can do it, you can but if you don’t think you can do it, you probably can’t.

This unit was also about goals, which we had to choose a long term goal about school, then put our quote on a picture of ourself, using Canva, and Snapseed, or any other apps you wish to use. Below is my goal and picture.

But I decided to change the picture so here is my final draft.

During this unit that was our main project, but while watching each video shown we would take some sketch notes, using Paper 53. So here are mine about the why we need to fail video.

I definitely learned a lot about having a more open mindset, it really benefits in learning, and life. As you won’t  just give up on things, you’ll keep going and have more motivation to keep going on something you may have originally not liked.
