RUN! Making a mini movie.

It was a random day and my class had high hopes for the new project to come. We got in and our teacher put us into set group made by her. We then got the news that we had just over 30 minutes to go out and recreate the short one minute YouTube film RUN! We had to decide on roles like who was going to be running and who was going to be the monster. It was a group of 3 so one person was the filmer. Our first attempt was not very good. Sadly I can’t show you because the clips used were deleted but take it from me it was pretty bad.

The next few classes were about learning how to storyboard and deciding who would get what roles. We had to make a screenplay about the whole thing which was pretty easy because there was no talking. Just had to wright out all the sounds and actions. Then we had to draw out all the scenes we wanted to do which was all of them from the video and write what shot we wanted to use.

Next were the roles mentioned earlier. We had to divide the roles up equally among the three of us for example filmer and costume designer. We had to find cloths that looked like the ones from the video. My roles were the monster, sound designer, and editor. We couldn’t use the exact sound from the video for the final product so we had to find / make our own using garage band or iMovie. It was interesting lining up all the audio with the clips but after a while it started to sound good.

Team Roles

After we had a few days to edit the video we had to post it to YouTube. I think my group did pretty well with the information given. The forest we filmed in looked pretty well so it looked close to what the video looked like. Here it is
