Do you remember argh matey and how the french sailed all the way to the americas. We left of there in our arghh matey project and now we researched about New France and the fur trade. First lets take off talking about New France, New France was the first ever city and is now called Quebec City. This is where the industrial side of Canada started. When the french arrived they where most likely allies with most of the indigenous peoples in that area because they really needed food and resources to get through the winter all though out of over 25 people only 6 survived. Because of sickness and lack of food.  After the winter the french king sent over Frances poorest women on a boat with the job the make the most babies possibly. He did this because the British who where in the lower part of Americas where putting soldiers in the americas. The women on the boat where called the Les Filles du roi, which means the daughters of the king. But this way of upgrading the population of french in the americas was futile because the British took over New France later making New France on British land. But before the British took over the fur trade was happening. The french made a alliance with then first native alliance in that area. They where called the haudenosaunee confederacy. They helped the french in the fur trade and the french helped them with tribal warfare. The New France soldiers helped the haudenosaunee by supplying guns. The first attack took out 2 of the 3 tribal leaders. The fur trade was the most important part of the americas because they where more valuable then gold at that time. Because of this. Beavers were hunted all the time killing millions with no regret. 

Now that was pretty much what happened but how about we talk about the actual project.

We where supposed to use a website called flourish to make a cool media picture here this is mine for a example

And this is my reasoning for the things on the picture

The reason for the lake is to represent how in the summer it’s usable to fish and in the winter it’s frozen over so they can’t fish. Because of that I made the simple of fish on a line then when it switches there is no fish since the lake froze over. I have the house to show that they need shelter to survive. Then I had two people that where fishing and carrying lumber in the summer then in the winter it shows how it’s really cold by one person shivering then I showed how people got sick by one person in bed with a thermostat. Then I had a background of a forest that is green and flourishing then I used editing to make it look colder and more grey and death like. 

This project as a lot of fun to design this visual and i found the things about fur trade was very interesting. Thanks so much for listening and watch out for futer blogs.
