Geering Up Engineering & Science for Kids

 
Faculty of Applied Science at UBC has great summer volunteering opportunity !
Students currently in grades 10-12 can apply to volunteer as a Junior Instructor with us this summer. Volunteers help instructors deliver week-long science and engineering camps to kids on the UBC campus. This position is an excellent opportunity for your students to gain volunteering experience, develop their leadership, communication and organizational skills, and give back to their community.

Geering Up has an exciting High School summer program for students in grades 7-12. Students will explore cutting-edge innovations and concepts in the STEM field through hands-on projects, discussions and lectures. They will learn from top UBC graduate and undergraduate students both in laboratory, classroom and real world settings. High school students in grades 10-12 have the option of participating in our overnight program, where they will live in first-year residence at UBC. It is an excellent way to experience what it is like to live and learn at University.
