Youth Ambassadors Program with Canada 2018

The Youth Ambassadors Program with Canada brings together youth (aged 15 to 18 years old) and adult mentors from Canada to promote mutual understanding, increase leadership, and prepare youth to make a difference in their communities.  It is an intensive program that takes place from July 16 through August 4, 2018, and is carried out in Ottawa, New York state, and Washington, DC.  Participants have all travel, meal, and accommodation costs during the exchange covered by the program, in addition to health benefits with limitations provided in the USA.

While the details of the program can still be found on the SUNY Plattsburgh webpage, the Youth Ambassadors Program with Canada application will now be received digitally through the World Learning application portal found here.

North Shore Youth Parliament

The NSYP is a youth organization run by youth parliamentarians under its parent organization, the British Columbia Youth Parliament. Young people aged 14-18 will come together at the yearly session to debate important topica and learn the inner workings of the Westminster parliamentary system.

NSYP is not a mock parliament! All the legislation passed will be put forth to determine the Memberships activities throughout the year.

Interested in politics, legislation, service, debate, making new friends? NSYP has something for everyone with no experience necessary! Members will leave the weekend with a better understanding of our parliamentary system while engaging in debate about current topics.
