Youth Work Experience – AquaCamps Leader
Summer Break 2019
Information sessions are on April 15, 24, 30.
Students must attend an information session to be considered.
Role summary:
You will have an excellent opportunity to gain experience working with children aged 4-12 in an educational setting, work on your communication and leadership skills, develop a sense of teamwork and explore career options. Specifically, you will:
Assist with the preparation, delivery and clean-up of Summer AquaCamps program.
Enhance participants’ experience through group activities using hands-on, interactive activity stations and props.
Help supervise and lead small groups of children during play and gallery exploration time.

Desired skills and experience:
Outgoing, enthusiastic and self-motivated
Experience in educating and/or working with children
Students in Grade 11 or 12 preferred
Excellent interpersonal, time management and presentation skills
Must be creative, flexible and proactive in problem solving
Interested in learning about marine biology and/or education
Special requirements:
Grade 11 or 12 students preferred.
