I went on a field trip. Let me explain.

When we were first told about this field trip, we were all very excited. We were going to a retreat centre at loon lake. Now, there are very many loon lakes, but the one that we went to is in maple ridge, Vancouver. This is what you would call a retreat, but we called it a learning advance because we never retreat and we must always move forward. More about the trip. We were there for four days, each day with their own activities. My favourite ones were, battle archery (dodgeball with bow and arrows), tree fort building (we built a shelter in the woods), and learning how to use superimpose, which is like photoshop.

Although there is a map in the book, it’s not that great due to my lack of spacial awareness, so I’ll explain it again. There are five sleeping cabins, two for grade 8s and two fro grade 9s. Im in the grade 8 boys one. The food hall is at the top of the hill, on the way you pass the panabode which is a is a lounge that was also my advisory. At the bottom left were the grade 8s cabins, and the gym is between them. I played basketball in thee gym everyday. Farther left to that is the field, which we only used in battle archery. The far right has the rope bridge and the amphitheatre. And in the middle of everything were the arbturus and yew cabins. We did DI in the basement of arbturus.

Here is a book that we made during our stay talking about what we did while we were there. 👇
