Worldview. Pretty self explanatory right? It’s how we view the world. Either way, we recently started learning about religion and worldviews in the PLP classroom. To kind of get a feel for what worldview is and to prepare us for future projects, we were assigned to make a video using the app Explain Everything that shows our own worldview.

I started off by making a script with a relatively basic structure to go off of. I made an intro explaining the gist of the project. I then went on by saying what my worldview revolves around. I then explained each part of my worldview. When I finished, I made an ending kind of summing up my worldview.

The actual process of making the video was definitely tougher than writing the script. I did all of the voice recordings first so I could base my animations and pictures around them. On top of having to learn how to use the app, which was WAY harder for me than it should have been, my style of making videos is making quick cuts to pictures, which means I have to time the cuts with my script. Although it wasn’t necessarily difficult to do that, it was definitely time consuming with all the cutting and searching for pictures which were Creative Commons.

I definitely like the end product of my explain everything. Although I had a rough start with this app, I definitely will do more work with those, whether it’s by choice or not. I’m pretty excited to see what else we will do with this app.
