Korean Proxy War

Next we have the Korean War. This is were we start hearing more and more about communism, something America was strongly against. If communism grew, Americas neighbours would no longer trade products which would immensely decrease the American economy. The Korean war was essentially a proxy war which aided in the halt of communism. Eisenhower essentially wanted to “contain” the communism. Many people were upset with the governments decision to send troops to Korea because remember most vets had settled down and were starting a family.
