Have you ever wondered what going on a plane with 36 other kids is like? Well thanks to PLP now we know, over the past weeks we began to learn about Walt Disneys dreams and his career. Learning about the origin of where we are going was really helpful for us since it showed us exactly what this park was supposed to look like and what sets it aside from other amusement parks. As we got closer towards leaving for the trip we were given 4 options on what you want to focus on on the trip, I chose Making the Magic because of how andvanced Disneys R and D department is. We learnt that our final product would be a video and we recieved specific guidelines as to what we needed to prepare for such as exact shot planning for our videos or interview questions. The trip itself was very interesting since all the parks are different and the shots you need might not be in the area you are in, which is why most of my video is voice overs. Everyday was a fully scheduled plan (which included free time) that usually started early in the morning we would get into each park as soon as it opened since we were staying in the Disney resorts we got early entrance which was great since we avoided a lot of lines.everyday we learnt something new about Disney and their technology which was helpful for my video. A big part of the days for me was chasing for an interview, and I know it sounds easy enough but not everyone appreciates a teenager asking to interview them which is understandable, I did manage to interview a guest on our last day in the park, you can watch it my video, here’s a link to it:

During the trip we also had a check-in day where the teachers came around to make sure everyone knew what to do for their videos. In the parks I noticed just how much technology is implemented everywhere you go, and not just in their animatronics things like speakers or projectors around the parks to help create the magic. Even though a lot of these tricks are cool it’s nothing compared to their immersive rides that include some of the top of the line animatronics and technology. Seeing firsthand how Disney creates such an immersive their rides are I fully understand what I’ve been researching. Overall I am very impressed by this trip and how much I learnt considering it was a trip to DisneyWorld.
