Manhattan Project

Hello, welcome back to another blog, its been a while since my last blog post but this one is still seems early, to begin grade 11 in PLP we will be learning about the Manhattan project and this is a topic that my main source if information comes from the movie Oppenheimer, seeing the level of significance the Manhattan project has in our history it seems important to really intake the information the best way possible and knowing PLP you can guess it’s got something to do with notes. To prepare us for this project, we were to write 2 literature notes, using a notetaking system called Zettelkasten. We were allowed to write these on any topic we liked so I wrote about a recent article about the B-29 bomber that dropped the atomic bomb.

The 2nd note will be from the first chapter of the book Hiroshima which we are reading for this project. I’m excited to learn about this topic since it’s scale has always fascinated me and I look forward to diving deeper into the desperation of the creation of the bomb. I am also looking forward to improving my Zettelkasten skills since we use that note taking form often in PLP, I think the hardest part of this project for me will be the video since I am always skeptical about my video making ability, especially if it’s animated, but I am excited to learn more in the topic, I  am eager to learn more bout how Germany and the US raced to create the atomic bomb as soon as they realized it was possible to split the atom. Since I have heard about this project from my brother who learnt the same project from past years. I like how we’re getting multiple versions of the story by reading the book since it feels like we can understand a bit more from both sides. Overall I’m excited to continue this project.
