So the student led conferences (SLC’s) are coming up and I thought I would make a blog post on them. This blog post will include what I have done this year, things I am proud of and three goals for the rest of the year. I have still been enjoying being in PLP and have had loads of fun doing all the new projects that have come out recently. When I think of the new projects the first one that comes to mind is our scimatics cell project.

For this project we started by getting aquatinted with our microscopes. I had lots of fun because I was able to use the microscope I got for Christmas. We are now learning about different types of cells and we are working on a presentation. The other project we started inĀ Scimatics was our business project. This project is about selling a product while learning about markups and markdowns. We will start selling our products soon.

Then there is our project on Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. This has been really big and we will be performing our own version of the story in a new setting with alterations to certain characters and lines. We have done tons of research on the play and I am really confident with this one. Finally we have Destination Imagination which I have already made a blog post on. If you want to see that click here. All of these projects will have blog posts but I would like to finish them first and then write about them.

Now I will talk about three things that I am most proud of. Number one is something that I believe shows my hard work and that is my blog post on Oregon. I found this post to be some of my best work because I knew what I was talking about and it has no spelling mistakes or grammatical errors. I believe that the reason I made no mistakes and that I worded it well is because I knew everything aboutĀ the topic.

The Last Oregon Post!

Number 2 would be my blog post on the Winter Exhibition. I chose this one because it has good grammar, good spelling and my presentation was on a subject that I really care about. I also learned so much from making this blog post and looking back on what I had to do I learned things like how to manage time and come up with ideas efficiantly.

Finally we have something which I believe shows growth mindset me and my groups performance at Destination Imagination. This is because of how we were able to rebound after our structures failed and improv the entire performance.

Now I am going to talk about three goals that I have for the rest of the year. My first goal is to increase the number of words in my writing. Whenever I write I have trouble making a certain word limit and I want to improve on this as it will benefit me later in life. I feel like I can do this by going into detail on everything, giving examples of the points I make and I will be sure to start doing this soon.

My second goal is to be more on top of my homework. A great example of this is this blog post which is due Monday the 27th and I am up on Sunday the 26th at 10:36 finishing it. I can accomplish this by not putting stuff off and applying myself more.

My final goal is to continue to improve on my math. In the past my grades have been down in math and I want to change this. I already have made a goal to get better at math and I am going to continue this by studying at home and trying harder in class.

This was my blog post going on student led conferences and I look forward to presenting.
