For the past little while in maker we have been making videos and learning the skills to help us with that. This post is about the live event video we have made. The live event video project was we had to film a live event whether that was sports, a family board game or something like that. Because it was a live event we had to prepare for it because we would only have one chance to film it.
The criteria for this video was that we had to include a bunch of the filming skills we had learned such as: time lapse, freeze frame, changed speed, still photos with Ken Burns, music (copyright free) and an interview with a participant.
Before we stared this project we make rubrics as a class about what makes a good video. Here is my groups rubric:
For my live event I decided to film a game of monopoly that my family was going to have. To film this I came early to film it getting set up. Then took some main shots and some B-role. I also time lapses throughout the entire thing. Then put it all together and edited it and this is the product I got:
In conclusion this project was really fun I learned a lot about filming things in the moment and planning ahead of time.
Comment what you thought about the video.
