Loon Lake – Learning Advance đŸŒČ

Bonjour! A couple weeks ago me and my classmates went on a trip to a place called loon lake. The goal at loon lake was to advance our learning to our fullest ability and bond with our classmates.

Day 1:

Day one, or the day we left, we went to our first class like normal but instead of working on our normal classwork we helped load the buses and got briefed on what to expect on this trip, we also started our loon lake books which you’ll hear about later. At around 12 we departed on a hour and a half bus ride! When we got there we head down to this thing called the Amphitheatre, there we separated into groups and went on a hike in the forest surrounding the camp. On this hike we had to find different objects like leafs, pine cones, and even animal tracks! After this we did a another small scavenger hunt, on this one we went around the camp finding little heart stickers that our teacher had set out for us which helped us get to know the area. After that it was time for dinner, which was amazing by the way, and then we hung around for a while until we had our first advisory meeting, then it was off to bed to get well rested for Day 2.

Day 2:

The next day we were up at the bright and early hour of 7am for breakfast at 7:30, which again – was amazing, after that we had a morning advisory block and then we were sent to “class”. This class was our first DI sweatbox, here we doubled down on our DI projects with our group. After that we went outside to do a fun shelter building activity! After that it was lunch, which again was amazing, and then it was back to work. Then we did this thing called “evening fun” I did board games with a couple friends before settling in for the night!

Day 3:

On day three we did lots of fun stuff! First of course was breakfast, then we had another class where we worked on something called the 7 habits, which you’ll probably hear about later. After that it was lunch and then we did two really fun activities both set up by a company called stellar play! One was forest laser tag (which I was awesome at btw) then we did battle archery – these were both really fun. After that it was dinner and then another night of evening fun and then it was off to bed.

Day 4:

On our last day we had breakfast before being sent to our room to pack and put everything back into place before heading out for our morning advisory and then heading out to our last class of the advance before we departed back home.

(I miss you already loon lake food <333)
